Dr Arthur Azzopardi

Dr Arthur Azzopardi graduated with a Bachelor of Laws, Diploma of Notary Public and Doctor of Laws from the University of Malta. He furthered his studies in international law and law of the sea at the International Maritime Law Institute (IMO) where he was awarded a Masters of Law Degree.

Dr Azzopardi has been called to the bar in 2005.

He is a visiting lecturer and examiner at the University of Malta’s Department of Criminal law within the Faculty of law.

Dr Azzopardi started of his legal career as a prosecutor within the Office of the Attorney General in Malta and is now in private practice.  He has held various positions of trust both during his public service and also post said service.

Dr Clive Gerada

Clive Gerada is a lawyer specializing in civil, commercial, and sports law, with a focus on litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution. As a Senior Associate at Arthur Azzopardi & Associates, he provides legal counsel on contractual matters, business law, employment law, and commercial litigation. He is also a legal advisor to football players, athletes, and sports clubs, assisting with contracts, employment issues, regulatory compliance, and dispute resolution.

Admitted to the bar in 2015, Clive has built a diverse career spanning both legal practice and policymaking. He previously served as a Legal Officer at the EU Secretariat in Malta and as a Technical Attaché for Energy and Transport at the Permanent Representation of Malta to the EU. In Brussels, he played a key role in European policy, chairing the Energy Working Group at the Council of the European Union and leading negotiations on critical energy policies.

Academically, Clive holds a Doctor of Laws (LL.D.) from the University of Malta and a Master’s in European Union Law from King’s College London. His passion for business and innovation led him to earn an MSc in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from HEC Paris. Further enhancing his expertise in the sports industry, he obtained a Professional Certificate for Sports Agents from Loughborough University and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Football Business with the Johan Cruyff Institute in partnership with FC Barcelona.

Dr Frank Anthony Tabone

Dr. Frank Anthony Tabone earned his Doctor of Laws (LL.D) from the University of Malta in September 2017 and was admitted to the Maltese Bar in 2018. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Italian and a Master of Laws in European and Comparative Law from the University of Malta

His academic portfolio is further complemented by a Diploma in Criminology, a Diploma in Policing, and a Certificate in Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing.

Dr. Tabone’s practice focuses on litigation, anti-money laundering, counter-terrorism financing, financial investigations, European law, regulatory compliance, and AML audits.

Dr Nicole Vassallo

Dr Nicole Vassallo joined Arthur Azzopardi & Associates as an Associate and is now an Associate at the Firm, where her main area of expertise is Civil Litigation, Alternative Dispute Resolution and Family Law.  

She successfully graduated with a Bachelor of Honours from the University of Malta in 2018 for which she submitted a dissertation examining the Water Framework Directive’s effect on the regulation of sustainable water management in Malta. She subsequently read for a Masters in Advocacy at the same institution in 2019, and went on to be admitted to the Bar in 2020.

Dr Jacob Magri

Jacob J. Magri graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) in 2020, followed by a Master in Advocacy in 2021, and was called to the bar in 2022.

He practices criminal law alongside the managing partner of Arthur Azzopardi & Associates, assisting clients in a variety of cases, including complex matters. He takes a focused, client-centered approach, ensuring a steadfast commitment to achieving the best possible outcome for each case. With hands-on experience in criminal defense from the outset of his career, Jacob has developed a strong reputation in the field for his dedication and results-driven mindset.

Dr David Chetcuti Dimech

David graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Malta and subsequently graduated with a Master of Advocacy at the same University.

He was called to the bar in 2024. He graduated summa cum laude in 2025 after pursuing a Master of Laws in International and European Law at Ghent University with a focus on international and human rights law.

He has a strong interest in matters of constitutional and administrative law.
